1. Who We Are

SnapScope ("we," "us," or "our") is a property repair management platform operated by Side House LLC (sidehouse.ai). Our service is available at snapscope.us. For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@snapscope.us.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account data: email address, password (hashed), name.
  • Property data: addresses, photos, Zillow-sourced home facts.
  • Job & bid data: repair descriptions, scope documents, contractor bids.
  • Contractor contacts: names, phone numbers, email addresses you import or enter.
  • Google account data (only if you connect Google): your Google Contacts (read-only, to import into your crew roster) and Google Calendar events (to create job and maintenance events you choose to add). See the "Google User Data & Limited Use" section below.
  • Communications: SMS messages and emails sent through SnapScope on your behalf.
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, browser/device type.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and improve SnapScope features.
  • To send transactional messages (bid invitations, confirmations) on your behalf via SMS and email.
  • To generate AI-powered scope documents and cost estimates.
  • To authenticate your account and keep it secure.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. SMS Messaging

SnapScope sends contractor bid-request text messages, as the sender, to recipients who have opted in — by checking the SMS-consent box on a SnapScope bid page or by texting START to our number. Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply. Recipients may reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to SMS is not a condition of submitting a bid. SnapScope does not share or sell mobile opt-in information, SMS consent, or recipient phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS are used solely to deliver the bid invitations described above, and are disclosed only to our SMS delivery provider for the sole purpose of transmitting those messages.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following services that may process your data:

  • Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com)
  • Anthropic Claude — AI scope/estimate generation (anthropic.com)
  • Telnyx — SMS delivery (telnyx.com)
  • Resend — email delivery (resend.com)
  • Google Places / Geocoding — contractor search (google.com)
  • Google OAuth (Calendar & Contacts) — optional, only if you connect your Google account (google.com)
  • Zillow / Apify — property data enrichment

6. Google User Data & Limited Use

If you choose to connect your Google account, SnapScope requests only the access it needs to provide features you initiate:

  • Google Contacts (read-only): used solely to let you browse and import contacts into your contractor crew roster. We read your contacts only when you open the import screen, and we store only the specific contacts you select.
  • Google Calendar: used solely to create job and maintenance events that you explicitly choose to add to your calendar. We do not use it to scan or analyze your existing calendar.

SnapScope's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not transfer it except as needed to provide or improve these user-facing features (or for security, legal, or with your explicit consent), and we do not allow humans to read it except where you give consent for specific data, it is necessary for security or to comply with applicable law, or the data is aggregated and anonymized. You can disconnect your Google account at any time from the Connectors page, which revokes SnapScope's access.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing privacy@snapscope.us.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level security in our database. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.

9. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Contact privacy@snapscope.us with any requests.

10. Changes

We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
